The all-inclusive model certainly isn’t a new concept on the island of Barbados.
With choices on both the west and south coast, there’s certainly no lack of options for the discerning traveller.
With that said, they’re only two resorts on the island which take the concept of "all-inclusive" and "luxury all-inclusive" to a whole new level!
Welcome to Sandals Royal, the newest (and most expansive)
all-inclusive resort on the island of Barbados. Sandals Royal shares the massive 21 acres with its other property, Sandals Barbados. As the name suggests, Sandals Royal offers a bit more exclusivity for guests at this property.
The property currently features two levels of accommodation, Concierge/Club & Butler, with the latter also benefitting from, you guessed it... a private Butler. This along with complimentary Rolls Royce airport transfers give this level an added touch of that Royal luxury.
On arrival guests are escorted to their respective suites where you’ll be checked in for Butler service or to the respective Concierge check-in area. Despite varying room categories and two resorts; all guests share the amenities of both properties including a combined 17 restaurants and 12 bars. Choices include but not limited to; Asian, International, Japanese, the Six Star Diamond Award 'Bombay' Indian restaurant & the roof top French inspired La Parisienne. Not to be left out; they also feature a traditional English pub to make any UK visitors feel right at home.
If you don’t feel like leaving the comfort of your suite, they’ll gladly cater to your needs with the comfort of room service to either category.
For the more active travellers you haven’t been left out of the mix.
Get together with friends and try your skills at Lover’s Lane; the only resort on the island to feature a 4 lane bowling alley while being immersed in an international sports bar environment. If bowling isn’t quite up your ‘alley’ … you are welcome to sit one of the many interactive touch screen tables and play a number of classic games now in digital format.
Traditional resort activities also include billiards, table tennis,
lawn tennis, water-sports and a giant outdoor chess area coming soon.
Certified divers also have the option of exploring the crystal clear waters off Barbados for the natural beauty of coral reefs or the mystery of many shipwrecks. Sandals offers yet another first to the island by providing a shuttle service from the hotel to one of their 2 dive boats in the city where guests embark on the underwater adventure... you guessed it... this whole dive package is also included for free in your stay.
After spending over one hour visiting this expansive property with the highly knowledgeable team member Shaniece; there was still so much left untouched at this amazing property.
Below we’ve highlighted a few more key features of these two amazing resorts:
Unlimited fine dining
Unlimited premium spirits
Stocked bars in all rooms
All tips and gratuities included
PADI Certified SCUBA diving & equipment
Free weddings for stays of 3 nights or more
Sandals believes in offering something for everyone and despite these two properties being adults only; their all-inclusive family resort, 'Beaches' is due to open on the west coast of the island in approximately 2 years. Offering more rooms, bigger resort (as impossible as that may seem) and an exciting array of amenities, this can’t be missed!
If you’re searching for the best and highest rated luxury all-inclusive resort on the island, there’s no other option which even comes close to Sandals Royal & Sandals Barbados.
